What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

Campsites are packed in but the vegetation between sites felt really nice and made it more private feeling. Some road noise but not bad. Great access to the beach! Bathrooms on our end were so-so. The ones on D loop were so nice in comparison! Great access to Hoh Rainforest—be there by 9am.

Campsite was very small, and of course wet. Bathrooms were very dirty. The tree of life is great. We saw otters from the ledge!

My husband and I stayed here in our camper van and the views were amazing if you have a rooftop tent! Only downside is the bathroom is a little far from site, so it wasn’t the best in the morning. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

Great place - be sure to catch the rocks at low tide to see starfish!

Site D39 was wonderful. Can see the ocean past the trees. We had just enough space for two small tents and there's a perfect spot for a hammock. Beware rodents. We had a mouse walk around our site during dinner and while we cooked smores over the fire. Crows were also quick to swoop in if anything was left unattended for more than a minute or so. Bathrooms were dated but clean. No hand soap, so bring your own. Small selection of overpriced groceries available at Kalaloch Lodge. Had to park kind in a very small parking pad in front of the site (kinda felt like we were in the road).
Beach and Tree of Life was a very short walk down some stairs.
Highly recommend Kalaloch campground nothing beats going to sleep to the sound of ocean waves (altough, you're likely to wake up to everything covered in droplets of ocean mist/dew).
Near the Hoh Rainforest.
Near and lots of other beaches (Ruby beach only 10 minutes away was lovely at sunset. Recommend Beach 4 at low tide for tide pools).

We were in spot F25. We were hoping to get #24 but it was under construction. We also tried for #36 in the same loop. After getting there and investigating the whole area, we had the most perfect spot of all. We backed in. Our view from that spot was unbelievable. We could see the ocean from every window. Even when it rained we could still enjoy it's magnificence .
This was our second time of being at Kalaloch. It definitely won't be our last.
We have heard that the whole campground might be moved back on the other side of the highway.
We think that is a lousy idea. Even with the erosion please keep the ones that are still safe. The front row views can't be replaced or beat.

Such a cool spot with the ferns and mossy trees at the sites and then a quick walk onto coastline! Great little family friendly trail next to campsite! Loved exploring the the tide pools at nearby beaches as well. The site was well maintained.
