Discover a fantastic destination! We loved the beach nearby—it was the perfect place to see the beautiful ocean and hike around the coast.

A8 was a surprisingly good site. Great proximity to bathroom, dishwashing, closest to beach access for that tree everyone wants to see. Had to walk past amphitheater area to get to beach access, adding to convenience. Site A8 also had decent privacy. Look at the map and it looks like a busy location, which it is, although the back in parking is aligned for maximum privacy.
Being not located directly on the beach side, the trees provide a decent block from the wind.

E Loop is a small loop of sites, not a lot of privacy. No block from wind, strategic placement of gear is required.
Still a good camping site, E6.

We had a great one-night stay! Clean bathrooms plus a spacious and clear site. We had a little bit of a hard time finding the spot because the loops are a bit confusing in the dark but once settled it was a great night!

When i booked online and did not realize that the sites were drive throughs. The sites were not accommodating for a pop-up Eurovan. I felt like the staff were reluctant to move me and I was very disappointed the next morning when there were so many empty sites. I know it is the end of the season and everybody is tired
but a little bit more help on their part would have been appreciated

Arrival & departure
- The Kalaloch Ranger Station offers information during summer; contact them for hours.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- A valid Olympic National Park pass is required for camping and recreation at Kalaloch. The Washington State Park Discover Pass is not accepted.
Safety & rules
- There is a 7-day maximum stay limit during the reservation season, and a collective 21-day limit for all Olympic National Park campgrounds. Kalaloch is open year-round on a first-come, first-serve basis outside the reservation season.
- Use caution when swimming due to drifting logs; do not play on beach logs, especially during high tide.
- Always check tide charts when hiking; some areas may be impassable at high tide.
- Riptides are common; swimming is at your own risk.
Site capacity
- Most sites at Kalaloch cannot accommodate large RVs or trailers; check site details before reserving.
Vehicles & parking
- One RV and one tow vehicle are allowed per site if they fit in the driveway and do not damage vegetation.
- A maximum of two passenger vehicles is allowed per site, provided they fit in the driveway and do not damage vegetation.
General
- Campsites with ocean views fill quickly; book early. Outside of the reservation season, Kalaloch campground is open year round on a first-come, first-served basis (weather permitting).
