What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

5/5 – Stunning Bluff Views & Clean, Peaceful Campground
Kalaloch Campground is absolutely beautiful. We stayed on a bluff site and were blown away by the ocean views—sunshine and sea breeze made it feel like something out of a postcard. It’s a quick and easy walk to the famous Tree of Life, and we loved having direct access to the beach. Sand, sunshine, and serenity were in abundance.
The facilities were impressively clean, including the bathrooms, and the ranger on duty was kind and helpful. We had booked two nights at two different sites (since that’s all that was available), but due to travel delays, we unfortunately missed our first night. I really wish there was a way to cancel or release a site last-minute so someone else could enjoy it—it’s such a shame for it to sit empty!
That said, we truly enjoyed our time there and just wish there had been more availability so we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend this campground, especially the bluff sites—they’re unforgettable.

Excellent campground very close to the beach. Lots of families. Some sites are small while others are spacious. Be sure to bring soap as there aren’t any dispensers in the bathrooms.
