The site has two distinct areas, a parking lot area and a camping area and you cannot access the camping area by vehicle. This might work for those in tents, but this is not a good site for multiple trailers. The parking lot is quitr small. Also, the bathroom was unusable due to the amount of flies and the smell.

The site is nice. I would return for sure. A couple of things I wish were better… the first is that this site does not accommodate roof top tents, which 2 in our party had. We basically camped in the parking area, which takes away from the experience a bit. Also, when we arrived the “locked gate” was wide open, and a handful of vehicles were parked in our spot. About 15 people were using the river access at our site. They trashed the restroom and there was no toilet paper. Sadly, as with most sites, we cleaned up a ton of trash left by previous campers.

I had reserved this site from a Sunday through Wednesday. When we arrived on Sunday the gate to the site was locked and we were unable to get in. There was no contact information for the Forest Service at the site. I tried the chat function through the reservation site and they were of no help. A person not associated with Forest Service eventually was able to unlock the gate at around 5:30 pm but by that time our party of 9 had already found other sites. Since the Ranger Stations are not staffed on the weekends there needs to be a way for campers to reach someone when there is a problem. It was very frustrating not to be able to contact the Forest Service to get this resolved.
