What Guests Are Saying
The South Fork Group Site is a beautiful and ideal location for group camping, offering safety and privacy with its locking gate feature. However, access can be challenging due to a rough road, and it's advisable to have cleaning supplies for the vault toilets, which have odor issues. Despite the lack of forest service presence and maintenance concerns, the site remains a popular choice for campers.

We have camped here several times, it is a beautiful site, wonderful for groups. The locking gate, is a great feature for both safety and privacy. Be aware, the road going in is in bad shape, 4 wheel drive makes pulling up the hill out of the campground easier. If you plan on using the vault toilets, you may want to remember cleaning supplies, Lysol, and toilet paper.

Be careful the road in is still very rough. Some of our group didn't want to risk holes and rocks.
We reserved campgrounds for 3 different weeks this year and never saw any forest service personal (3 weeks no rangers) the amount we pay for the group sites at least cover TP would be nice! For those of you who didn't bring your own paper or a broom you are welcome.
Oh, and I got the combination but there was no lock on the gate, not very secure, making us have to kick people out that tried to invade our group.

The outhouse smells terrible. They need to add more chemicals or have it pumped out more often.

Lots of space well kept campground sites. The only thing I could see at fault was there was a lot of mosquitoes but we all brought repellent. I have it rented again for September. No one else around to bother us we had 22 people there and it was great!!!

We love camping here but every year we have to run up the hill when people try to park in front of the gate because we won’t be able to leave when unattended cars park

Never was contacted about the gate combination so one day before arrival i contacted the Naches Ranger Station and luckily the person on the phone was able to give it to me. At sundown the place is over run with hundreds of mice. Had to tell several groups of people to stay out of reserved area multiple times. They would park at the gate and walk into the area. Access to the river was wonderful but i will not stay there again.
