What Guests Are Saying

Cougar Flat offers large, well-spaced campsites and maintained, clean bathrooms, contributing to a generally positive camping experience. Some visitors enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, especially during less crowded periods, and appreciated the helpful campsite tenant. However, concerns were raised about limited privacy between certain sites, visibility to the road, and some litter in the area, though these issues did not overshadow the overall enjoyment of the campground.

Campground sites were nice and roomy with lots of shade but very dusty. No one was around to manage the late night noise or parties that went on every night until the wee hours of the morning. A domestic occurred at one of the campgrounds and the participants were intoxicated and were playing loud car music until after 2 am.
Bumping Lake day use was closed but the parking lot was packed and hundreds of people were gathered at the day use park and marina although it was posted “closed”. Bathrooms were closed and there was human feces and toilet paper strung all over. Very disappointing! We will never return here!

We love this campsite. I have been comping there for many years and it is always well kept and the bathrooms are always in top condition.

I like cougar flats, but they allow too much overcrowding. Our first night (Thur) was fine, but on Friday the crowds came pouring in. We were in campground #3 and the sites #1 and #2 had people coming in all night long. I couldn't count the people, but There were over 6 tents set up at each site.
The people were noisy, playedloud music andmade the overall camping experience miserable.

Fantastic campground. It’s small, so not much noise from others and the sites are spacious so what few neighbors there are, are not too close. This campground also had the cleanest bathrooms (pit toilets) I’ve ever seen in a campground or park.
