Nice campsite beside the American River. Roads are well maintained, the pit toilets were very clean and the ground water pump works great!

Always enjoy camping at Hells Crossing
Our last trip was upsetting as the campsite guests next to us kept coming through our campsite with their bikes.. kids and adults. I thought that was rude we finally blocked our entry with aour vehicle and that solved the rest of our trip to enjoy 😊 we have a rule to never disrupt or walk through any other campsites if occupied...we will definitely be back to Hells...need to drive to the top and view Mt Rainier and walk the trails....BEAUTIFUL!!

Well the camp host is probably the best I’ve seen since my 20 years of camping at hells crossing He deserves 5 + stars But the Elder family that reserved 3 whole sites next to mine. Who also had the entire river. Decided to have there family fun right behind my campsite so all we heard were kids screaming and a dog off the leash I ended up leaving a day early just so they could have our campsite. We appreciate the camp host he’s a great guy and will never stop camping at hells crossing
