What Guests Are Saying
Hause Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting along the Tieton River, large and clean campsites, and friendly hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to recreational activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites were noted to be overgrown or poorly located near noise sources, and there were occasional concerns about bathroom cleanliness and lack of water hookups. Overall, many campers express a desire to return.

Loved my camping trip here. The only thing I wish the campground had was showers and working bathrooms. Portable bathroom was always clean and had toilet paper! Firewood was available everyday. Hearing the river every night while sleeping was a dream.

CONS: This is a neglected campground. By the looks of the weeds around the bathrooms, they have been out of order for some time. The portapottys as a substitute were almost full. Pretty gross! Some of the camp sites the weeds are overgrown and I would have hated to drive up and find that with the family in tow. If you do not know there's a power station in the middle of the campground. That never showed up in the pictures. The fire rings are pretty old, and I was a little concerned about a fire in our ring in site #17.
PROS: We came on a Sunday and left on a Tuesday. It was very quiet. The site was clean and free of the previous visitor’s garbage but they grounds where not raked as some more attentive keepers do. The size of the sites was generous compared to other places I've been to. Our site was on the river which we used to cool our feet after an all day hike. We did notice that the river rose considerably over night, so be cautious about that.
Overall I'd consider looking at other campsites near Hause Creek.

Very basic but kind of lovely campground. The site that you're staying at really makes or breaks the experience. We were at site 22 which is as close as you can get to the river without being on top of it which was perfect, and kept us away from the 12 highway. Other sites that seemed most idyllic were 17-20, and 23. Porta-potties were very clean and well stocked, and camp hosts were very kind and helpful! The other campers were super quiet and respectful and we got the feeling that this tends to be a very chill campground. There is a lake in the area for recreation or, if that's not your style then the entrance to Mount Rainier is only a 45 min drive away (which is what my husband and I did). Overall I would recommend this campground as a good basecamp for other activities in the area.
*NOTE* as of 8/9/2020 there was a campfire ban. Check the park's website and know before you go!

Big walk-in site on the river, near hwy but the road noise was largely drowned out by the water. Port-a-potties were clean and well stocked with hand sanitizer or had running sinks operated by foot pumps and soap. Site was breezy, which we hadn't expected. Be prepared to guy out your tent!

Great campsite, clean and quiet. Would love to come back, especially once fires are allowed again.

Great experience! We've camped in other states but never close to home. Will be back next year for sure. Host were very helpful and friendly, as soon as we arrived we were greeted, rules were stated and was told to enjoy my stay and was also advised were they were established if we needed any help. Saddest part we went in time of the fire ban being at extremely high, so fire was not allowed. Thanks to me having a propane fire pit we stayed warm at night and the kiddos got a sence of the fire pit.
