What Guests Are Saying

Hause Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting along the Tieton River, large and clean campsites, and friendly hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and easy access to recreational activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites were noted to be overgrown or poorly located near noise sources, and there were occasional concerns about bathroom cleanliness and lack of water hookups. Overall, many campers express a desire to return.

This is lovely campground by a fast-moving river. The sites are large with nice tables and fire pits. The facilities were stocked and clean. Weirdly, there is no water, but that was clear from the website and we brought plenty. However, firewood was not available (but, after this winter, there was plenty to scavenge). I did not recall seeing anything mentioned about the power station with its bright light, but maybe I missed that.

My family and I had booked 3 sites, 2 of which were not suitable for the trailers they were rated for. Luckily, we were able to fit them all in the one spot #33 that was rated as a double spot (also some skilled trailer maneuvering). Sites #34 # did not have a big enough spot to park a trailer. They did look like a great car/tent site, though. Also, unless your site is located on the river, there isn't much access to the river. We walked around the whole campground, and many of the sites were very small. It worked out, but I wouldn't book this site again for trailer camping.

The campground and each site are always very well maintained and the hosts are always warm and welcoming and other campers are usually kind and courteous. The best part? The bathrooms are ALWAYS spotless and there is never any odor! Love this campground!!

Site 17 next to the river. Clean, good for tent camping, minimal high way noise.

Spot 29 is about the worst camping spot I’ve ever seen. I truly wonder why it is offered.

The campgrounds themselves were very clean and maintained, we felt very comfortable and safe in the area. However, we stayed in 038 which i believe is too close to the highway to get any amount of peace or sleep. The grounds were not close to being flat or smooth.i would definitely stay here again but avoid D18 or any spots near the highway again.

We had a great time. We stayed in sites 19 and 20, both of which had excellent river access and were far from the highway. Site 19 has access to a beach and has more shade during the day; site 20 has better views of the river and mountains but no shade during the day.

It seemed like sites 17 and 18 are also great for river access. I would be wary of site 15; it's along the river, but next to the substation at the campground, which has a bright light on all night.

The bathrooms were in pretty good condition, though be warned that they are a decent walk away from 19 and 20. The mosquitos here are also no joke.

Hosts were nice. Kind of sparse setting. No electric or water hookups or a dump station (but there is one a few miles down the road which is where the potable water can be found, too). Ironically, there is an electric utility power station right in the campground with power lines crossing the campground but they haven't allowed camp sites to access it. Sites are kind of close together with little privacy. The site 15 feet away from ours was reserved but nobody showed up so we ended up with privacy. River is walking distance and a nice place to sit but no fish since this is powered by water released from the dam a few miles upstream. We rented here due to its proximity to Mt Rainer but that is about thirty minutes away just to get to park entrance. On the plus side, we did have 5G cell reception.
