What Guests Are Saying

Kaner Flat Group Site is a spacious and lovely camping area with great access to clean vault toilets and the river, making it suitable for families. However, some campers have reported issues with non-reserved visitors walking through the site, which can disrupt privacy. Overall, the site is highly valued for its size and amenities, though improved signage could enhance the experience.

This a great site, really hard to get reservations. We love that it is so large, the vault toilets are clean. The whole family fits here. There are just a couple spots to access the river pretty easily.

I wanted to share my thoughts on Kaner Flat Group Site. It is a lovely, spacious site with great access to the water.
The only issue I would highlight is that other campers frequently walk through the reserved campsite areas. I thought it would be worth mentioning for anyone planning a stay there.

If we could keep people from pulling off the road and using the toilets that are provided for the camp ground. We had four camp trailers parked by the toilets and people still would walk two hundred feet from the road and use the toilets. We set up canopies on the parking area which are visible from the road, didn't stop people from coming and using the toilets.
People who want to fish the river will walk right through the middle of the camp site sit at the picnic table we were using for our meals. Left the gate open for ten minutes had a family drive in see our trailers and turn around thought they left ,went to close gate and they had stop just around the bend. I politely told them we had the site rented and I was walking to the gate and was locking it for night. The man told me he seen the sign and said they would leave in a few minutes. My first thought was fine, when I get to the gate I will padlock it and they can wait until morning to get out. It was about four minutes before they arrived at the gate. We had about twenty different confrontations. The forest department needs to put signs between the two gates and let persons know this area is a reservation group site, and to respect their privacy. If we didn't have to contend with persons coming into the camp site, I would give it a max review.
