What Guests Are Saying
The Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground offers a great location near beautiful hiking trails and the hot springs, making it an ideal base for outdoor adventures. Many reviewers praised the cleanliness of the facilities, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, especially during less crowded seasons. However, some noted that the RV parking area felt cramped and lacked restroom facilities, with close proximity between campsites leading to occasional noise from neighbors.

Reserved the worst spot based on hours of pointless research-site 22 Suc-ed, but we happened to arrive when someone in a much better site(honestly any site would be better) so we were able to switch! The host was amazing! So we stayed in 11. Wouldn’t recommend for people with mobility issues as the grade is steep and gravelly to the site. Sites are pretty open too but everyone was nice and friendly. We spent a lot of time hiking or hanging out by the river-which is not next to the campground like it looks to be on the map. It’s a hike to the river. Some folks said they saw a black bear roll through but we never saw it directly. We did the lovers lane loop and it was wonderful.

First RV campsite that has NO toilets! Not even a pit one or a portable one for $58+ a night. Had to walk to the lodge which has limited hours. Next time I will stay in the NPS campground next door.

Camp ground had no host so there was no-one keeping an eye on the numbers of vehicles per campsite. Made some of the sites quite noisy. Not a lot of space to pitch a tent - we were ok with one tent but two would have been pushing it. Washrooms had flush toilets and cold running water, there was no tp one morning but otherwise OK. Showers at Sol Duc Springs were a nice option, fortunately discounted if over 62 yrs!

Great campground, beautiful sites, clean bathrooms. It doesn't seem to be posted anywhere but if you are staying at the campground you can use the hot springs showers/locker room for free! Also, i you are using the hot springs.. when the evening session ends, ours was at 730pm, they also turn off the hot water!!! so the locker room showers are ICE cold!!! We learned the hard way!

The campground is beautiful and pretty immaculately kept. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive at our site until close to 10pm. Unfortunately, some very friendly bandits had already set up in our site hoping that we were no-shows. We had rented a 20 foot long self contained van so we just parked along side their car and spent the night inside. I was a bit grumpy to have come all the way from New York to find 3 tents set up in our clearly reserved site but there was nothing to be done at that point. We got a jump on the day and left for the hot spring pools at the resort next door before the bandits woke up. Shame we couldn’t eat breakfast on the picnic table.

Stayed 2 nights in a 29ft Class C, site 13. Water spigot was broken, and our hose would not reach the shared water with site 14 so it is easier to fill up with water at the dump station first if staying at this site. No privacy between sites, but great location next to river, trails, and just a short walk to the resort. Definitely recommend hiking to Sol Duc Falls, and completing the loop back to the resort passing through Lovers Lane. Very beautiful trail and fewer people hiking past the falls. Also recommend soaking at the hot spring in the early morning; watching the sunrise through the steam was epic. Shower facilities are clean and have lockers. Overall a great experience.

It is too bad people make reservations and do not cancel if they can’t make it. This trip we had only one campsite to choose from. it was really small and not in a nice setting. Nice there are a few sites that do not require reservations. about ten more of these would be good.
Sol Duc is lovely but the park is in desperate need of upkeep. many of the tables at the camp sites are falling apart. There is an old amphitheater that is not in use that looks shabby and uncared for. This valuable space could be used as day use or for more campsites.
would be nice to have more wastewater stations ( for dishwashing). The campsites could use some cleaning up. I know “this is camping” but for the price, getting a crew in to clean up debris would be nice. There are parts of the trail to the lodge that are unsafe.
The basic restrooms are very old and though they are clean, they need to be updated. many of the parks now offer single use restrooms which are nice. showers should be offered again because of the cost of camping,
We love YURTS…. Put in a few yurts where the amphitheater is. you could recoup the cost in a year.
Overall, seems like the caretakers of this campground are not giving it the care it needs.
The campground host I encountered was very nice and pleasant and helpful.
Would love to know if there are plans to do some improvements to this well used campground.

It was a beautiful location. Didn’t realize we would have to walk up stairs to get to our site.

It was a decent campground. There is a nice trail to the resort. The spot that I reserved was taken by someone else when I got there and there was no camp host. I had to track someone down to clear up the confusion and get me a new camp spot.
