Fishhook Park is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great getaway for families and campers. Visitors appreciate the ample shade, spacious lots, and opportunities for birdwatching and water activities. However, some concerns include dry grass in certain areas and occasional noise from passing trains, along with inconsistent maintenance of tent sites and restrooms.

We were in site 13 ,it has wonderful river views. Most sites are large which we love. I spent hours watching and identifying birds with my free Merlin Bird ID app. Also spent time canoeing and fishing and sitting in the water in our chairs. The weather was perfect this time, but sometimes it can be windy.

We love Fishhook Park and return every year! We love the access to the water from multiple areas and the Playground update in recent years has been great! The bathrooms are always clean.
If I had to give any feedback, it would be to keep up the beach area a little bit more so there are less spots for bees to congregate in the gravel/grass.

Nice water area for kids to swim and dock to fish off. The grass at the park used to be nice but is now dry and mostly weeds.

we love fishhook park. We have been coming annually for 30 years. We do hope that the repairs and maintainence we observed this year will include improving the swim area and rehabing the trees. We have noted an increase in the rattle snake sightings. we saw a snake almost every day that we were there at our campsite. Not sure what can be done about that. Still our favorite campground in Washington!

We had a nice time at this campground, but probably wont be back. It is definitely more of a place for campers / RVs, and boats. To which, we have none. But we were driving from the Pacific to Idaho, and this place was a nice two night stay along our journey.
Pros: Plenty of shade from trees at site 33, we were on a hill and had an amazing view of the Snake River and the sky. The sunsets were incredible, and the bird watching was fantastic. The campground staff were all very friendly, the grounds are well maintained, and the bathrooms and showers were clean and accessible.
Cons: Lots of trains go by this campground at all times of day and night. It seems to be an area the trains turnover, so there was a lot of horns that are very loud. We tent camp, and the area to place our tent was quite small and a bit sloped. But there is only so many options to place a tent because they run the sprinklers on the surrounding grass basically all day. Last, you can sort of walk down to the Snake River, but really this campsite seems more equipped for boats. They do have an area for families to safely swim, but dogs are not allowed there, so we could not experience this part.
