Fishhook Park is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great getaway for families and campers. Visitors appreciate the ample shade, spacious lots, and opportunities for birdwatching and water activities. However, some concerns include dry grass in certain areas and occasional noise from passing trains, along with inconsistent maintenance of tent sites and restrooms.

We had booked a tent site and you can not pull your car/truck to it, to unload. We travel with two little kids which means with a lot of stuff. Gate house wasn’t staffed during the opening hours that were hanging in the window. Lawn wasn‘t mowed. Tent site itself, absolutely not private, we had kids running through our camp site the whole time (which wouldn’t bother us, but we had our dog with us and they kept running at him and it scared him.) Dogs from the tent site next to us pooped on our tent site and owner didn’t pick it up. Toilets did not get cleaned at all while we were there (2 nights), campground fully booked due to 4th of July. The only positive thing was that there was no fireworks allowed.

Great park with green grass and quiet. Perfect place in the river to ski wake and surf or fish. Convenient dock. The only down side was the main part of the dock is really wobbly and could use with a refresh.

Everything was good for the most part. A lot of the lands were dried out. We lost electricity at our site in the middle of the night for a few hours with no warning and no way to communicate with the camp host. We drove up to the host sight to inform him and he didn’t answer the door. We drove back to our site and realized the entire campground power was out. We thought we were gonna have to pack up and leave. Thankfully power came back on.

We love this park! Very Clean; nice bathroom with hot showers. Great swimming area for the whole family to enjoy.
Only feedback is to please re-seal the docks, our kids got several splinters anytime they forgot their sandals & went barefoot to the boats.

Very hilly… not much room for a tent. Grass was pretty dead.
