This walk in site kind of feels like you're in the 'front yard' of the yurts. The trail to the day use area runs right behind the site, so there's some noise from that. It's a nice enough spot, but not particularly quiet or private.

MICE INFESTATION. We thought the yurt experience would be a step-up from a tent, and avoid some of the effort/time for setting up/taking down and make for a more relaxed weekend. While that part of the calculation was correct, the yurts are overrun with mice - and there's no warning about this situation, so we discovered this when a mouse crawled on me in my sleep, and we woke up to find they'd eaten a lot of our food and pooped/peed in the yurt. I mentioned this to the camp host, who said there was nothing they could do because of national forest rules.

Large, private sites available. Access to large lake, hiking trails. Mid week it was quiet and un crowded. Clean restrooms. No cell phone service or nearby amenities (not a bad thing, we be camping!). Depending on where you are coming from, be prepared for the possibility of having to take a stretch of gravel road. Could be our new favorite campground in Washington.

It's a beautiful place with water activity on a small lake (4.5 miles) However, I did not appreciate the 6 hrs of hydro boats running up and down the lake. It really ruined the peace and quietness of the place. These folks can use a more urban setting for their display.
