The campground features friendly hosts, convenient access to a general store, and nearby trails for exploration. However, some sites may feel cramped, and restroom facilities can be limited, making it essential to plan accordingly. There were many cars around our tiny campsite, which made it feel more like a parking lot. There was no privacy. There were signs posted to let people know about car break-ins, and advised not to leave anything valuable out. There were also nearby wildfires, which led to a burn ban. With no privacy, safety, or way to cook our food we just gave up and went to the lodge. We were fortunate to get the last dog-friendly room. The food at the lodge was pretty bad. I had a pizza one night and it was so soggy that it broke in half when I picked up a slice. You couldn't eat inside the lodge due to the pandemic, so we ate outside at a picnic table. There were a lot of mosquitos, but fortunately the general store sold citronella candles that mostly solved that problem. The rainforest is beautiful, though. It's too bad all these other factors sort of ruined the experience.

Great little campground in Lake Quinault. It’s super pretty, awesome lake access and next door to the lodge if you want to get a meal or a drink. Highly recommend.

The sound of the creek is lovely and it was not too busy on a Sunday night. Could walk to shore of Lake Quinalt for sunset and sunrise. Due to current restrictions re: water craft, the lake was nice and quiet too. Appreciated the signage about masking and that ppl were complying. Camp site had giant trees and the sound of the creek and steps to the lake - great! There are very active raccoons.

Convenient location, right next to lake. Easy haul in/out from parking. Somewhat crowded. Evidence of other campers not cleaning up after themselves. Curious critters will get your food if left out.

The good: right next to the lake. perfect place to disconnect from the world and relax. had so much fun kayaking, rowing, swimming, stargazing...we saw the neowise comet :)
there’s a convenience store nearby.
motorized boats were not allowed, so it was quiet and not crowded.
The bad: camp sites are smaller. not much privacy in the reserved sites. better privacy in the walk-in sites.
The ugly: no facilities to shower. bring a portable shower. can not shower at the lodge either (only for lodge’s guests).

Overall the campground was awesome. The ranger was helpful, the bathrooms were Clorox clean, and for the most part, the neighbors were great. We did have a family move in on the second day and invite about 40 of other family members. They basically took over the entire beach, put up 5-6 tents, and made a ton of noise late into the night.
While we were happy to see the kids enjoying themselves, it really made it difficult for us to enjoy ourselves. I would offer this kind of activity should not be OK.
We will be back. Lake Quinault is a beautiful place.

So disappointed with camping site #14. It has no place for a tent to be set up. So we ended up setting up in the parking spot. This was a pretty rocky area and ended up puncturing a hole in our blow up mattress. It is right next to the parking lot for the hike in campers and offers no privacy. The picnic table is so close to the fire pit that it was hard to sit around the fire pit. There was no room for the kids to run around and play by the tent site because it was such a small area. Compared to all the other sites this one is definitely at a disadvantage and is not really even a site. The rest of the experience was great. Loved the lake and how close we were to hiking trails. Very peaceful and tranquil.

Absolutely beautiful area. Campground sites are spacious for two vehicles, additional tents, but not much privacy. The sites are close to other sites, without a lot of forest or bushes in between for privacy. Access to the lake from the campground and easy walk with your kayak, etc. Very scenic and easy day hike along Lake Quinault that passes by the lodge and then goes up into the forest. Big old growth Cedar, Spruce, and Douglas Fir trees throughout the area.
