We got there on a summer Friday around noon and snagged one of the last FCFS spots. Gorgeous lake! Easy walk to the walupt creek falls trailhead. Pit toilets were clean, camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Walupt Lake is a quiet no frills camp ground. The serene beauty of the Lake and the forest around the lake are amazing. I enjoy being able to disconnect from everything and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature while we're camping at Walupt Lake.

It’s a pretty decent campground on a gorgeous lake. One thing that almost made us leave was the infestation of flies. They were everywhere and constantly landing on us and trying to get to our food. Just the constant bug flying right by your ear. I’ve never seen so many bugs in one place and I’ve gone camping/hunting plenty of times. A crazy idea I shared with my boyfriend was that I wish you could release a bunch of dragonflies to try to control the insect population a bit. Not sure if it’s possible, but it would help.
The whole “first come first serve” process was really confusing and I wish the camp had a better system for that, especially with having no cell reception in the area.

The outhouses could be better kept and at least provide hand sanitizer for the guests for after using the restrooms.
Overall a decent campground with how far it is from civilization.

We had a campsite close to our neighbors. Many sites had a lot more space. Still we had a great stay. Very clean pit toilets. Campground seems well maintained given how busy it is. Very, very quiet, at least where we were. Lots of families. Lake is gorgeous, great for watching a full moon come up when it is a clear sky.
