We always enjoy our family of 32 camping trip at Salmon La Sac. We’ve been coming for 33 years! Since the bears seem to be knowledgeable with coolers, which we are diligent to put away each night in out vehicles, could the park provide bear boxes? It is difficult as we get older to keep lifting our food containers into our cars. It would be much appreciated.

Beautiful, spacious sites. Beautiful spot between the Cle Elum and Cooper rivers with plenty of river access.

Had a great 4th of July weekend here at Salmon La Sac. The campground said it was full, but I feel that at least 25% of the sites sat empty and that was probably because of the high temps. So it was super quiet, had great neighbors, and overall, it was a great time even though it was in the upper 90's. Camp hosts were seen all the time and they kept things in great shape. We go here every year around this same time. First time in site 55 and it was a good site, except it was a little narrower than we have had in other sites, but that didn't ruin our good time. Both rivers were a good place to cool off. Need to be careful going back and forth from the campground because up the road about 1/2 mile there are tons of people walking or doing U-turns around the corner, so you have to go slow down the road to the campground. Once again, it was a great time.

Lovely campground. We arrived earlier than our check-in time and found the campground quiet, shaded, and overall very lovely. Our neighbors arrived a few hours later and fired up an extremely loud generator to power their camper. I asked the campground host what the rules on generators are, and apparently this is allowed until quiet hours (10pm - 6am). However, the generator kept going until after 11pm when they finally turned it off. Really put a damper on what would have otherwise been a wonderful camping experience. PLEASE OUTLAW GENERATORS or put some sort of time limit on how many hours per day you can use. It sounded like someone was power washing all day. :(
