What Guests Are Saying

Wish Poosh Campground offers a beautiful location with spacious sites and a friendly campground host, making it a pleasant spot for tent camping. Visitors enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and relatively clean porta-potties, despite the absence of running water and some maintenance issues with the vault toilets. While access to the lake can be challenging and some sites are tight, many found their overall experience enjoyable, especially due to the scenic views and minimal bug presence.

The vault toilet was out of order and there were two porta potties. It was 4th of July weekend and when we showed up the toilets were already 3/4 full by Sunday it was almost overflowing and out of toilet paper. The boat ramp though is very nice.

Our stay was wonderful! Bugs were nearly non-existent and it was a quiet campground. The only hard part was no running water… definitely had to adjust once we arrived. Didn’t use the beach trail, but went down at the boat launch and it was a ton of fun! It was a rocky beach and clay once you wadded into the water.

This was the worst campground we have ever stayed at. The site was so tight one slide out was in the bushes and we couldn't even open our awning because there was a tree in the way. We tried to move back, however there was a huge rock that was in the way so we couldn't put our steps down. We even reserved a campsite for a longer trailer than we had so we could have more room, but we had to do a 4 point maneuver just to get our truck to fit in the little space left at the end of our spot.
I know this was dry camping, however the bathrooms were closed and the water spickets were turned off.
This was a very bad experience and we will not stay here again.

If you are tent camping this place is for you!!

Campsite 001 was amazing. There’s a little bit of noise pollution since it’s not too far from the road, but it’s the most secluded, and it has a lot of space as a double family site.

The location was beautiful and the camp host was nice. However, the lack of potable water onsite and the need to use porta-johns that filled up quickly somewhat dampened the experience .

The forest service hasn’t updated their description for 2 years and there is still no water available or functioning bathrooms which I had kind of assumed they would be fixed I brought plenty of water anyway and it wouldn’t be a huge deal if the porta potties they provided were clean and maintained. They hadn’t been in a while and I’ve seen cleaner ones on construction sites. The spot we had was nice but some of them are really small especially if you had more than 1 tent. The lake is also really hard to access from the campground especially if you’re trying to bring anything other then a floaty to the water. it’s at least a mile and they chained logs down to the ground so it’s really hard to drag stuff down to the beach. The boat launch isn’t bad but it’s a long walk from the campground. The only really good thing is there weren’t a lot of flies and mosquitoes and the view is pretty

The vault toilets were not adiquately maintained.
The paper products were not always available.
By the end of the weekend, the vaults were filled to capacity, up to the top, becoming extremly unpleasant, and unsanitary.
