Never camped here but it is a nice area for sure. I would definitely camp here in the future. My review is about something you can do here that doesn't require camping and that is panning for garnets!
Wow, there are so many here! Its kind of like red sand in some places. As best as I understand likely none of these are gem quality and most are very small.
However, how fun to get 1000's of shiny red gemstones out of the river here. You can some here any time of the year so if it is to crowded during camping season then wait until it is closed then you will have the whole river to yourself. We go here when it is closed and therefore it is peaceful. Enjoy!

The site comes with a firepit, table and benches, a convenient platform for setting up tents, and there's enough space to set up your own chairs if you want. Drinking water and toilets are available. Expect lots of audibly exuberant children, so it may be better for families than other demographics.

Skykomish is very close by in case you need any essentials such as propane, ice, firewood, coffee, beer, or snacks.

The drive there and back awards you with breathtaking views of steep forested peaks emerging from the clouds, so even if you have a long drive, there's a lot to appreciate along the way.

Our family has been enjoying this Campground for many years. The camp host keeps the toilets very clean and is helpful. River access can be tricky but worth the trouble. The river beautiful with wildlife and adventure. There are not too many bugs which is nice but, bring insect repellent anyway because they are here.

The camp host here was incredible. We showed up hoping for a first come first serve site and the list was updated on the board. The campsite was freshly raked and the compost toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen. The water is out of service which stinks but there is a gas station not far and another campground, Monkey Creek, with water available nearby. It is tucked far enough from the highway that you don’t hear vehicle traffic and the train we only noticed 3 times the whole night.

If you are lucky enough to find a good spot on the Beckler River you'll never want to leave. Most of the forest service roads are almost never ending and the views will take your breath away. Bring the bug spray ! Late June - October are the most visited times.
