Big Pines Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting along the Yakima River, with spacious sites and excellent access for river activities and nearby hiking. Guests appreciate the clean restrooms and the serene environment, ideal for birdwatching and fishing. However, some visitors noted issues with train noise, site reservation mix-ups, and a lack of privacy due to close campsite proximity.

The campground was very nice! The actual site was very good too! The tent area was sandy and river rocky, but we were able to get tent anchors in. It was quiet overnight except for a train or two across the river. The toilets and grounds were clean and well kept. Quite an enjoyable experience!

Lluma Creek was the smaller campground of all of them which made it more private. Sites were a little small. Very limited facilities, but clean pit toilets. No fresh water source. Great place to enjoy river activities.

Campsite seemed well taken care of.
The first night was hot.
The second night was very very windy. Grit was blowing into our dinner. Had to take our awning down for fear of damage.
Is that what we should expect in a campground in a canyon? maybe. I think this was because a weather front was coming in. So do be prepared.

Nice spot by the river. Mild noise from the train and highway but overall it’s pleasant. Close to Yakima.

The site was nice with direct access to the water. Despite some early morning noise disturbance from a couple passing through, the rest of our stay was nice and enjoyable.
