It was horrible, in fact I didn't stay the last night the out house was filthy the trash was all over the campsite when we got there. I've stayed here since 2012 and it's always been awesome and clean

The outhouses were filthy and smelled horrible. The campgrounds were not full due to poor weather so it wasn't because there were too many people. Our campsite had not been cleaned and had dog poop and garbage in the grass on the dirt and in the fire pit. We've been coming to this campgrounds since 2012 and this is the first time I've seen it this way. We never once saw a camp host go by or stop to see how everything was and that was a first as well.

It was a fun time, river was down below the hill side behind us but we were able to find our way down. Over all it was nice. When we go back we will try one of the first spots.

The Sunset Falls Campground was very well kept with campsites spaced well so you didn't feel like you were right up against the next site. The spaces were on the small side, even with the space between sites, and you do have to set up your tent in the approved camping space. The campground itself is small so you don't have large crowds to deal with. There are several access points to the river as well.

The campground is in the woods but on a traveled road so there was regular vehicle traffic. People drove very fast on the road, which increased road noise. On our first night someone drove down the road and open fired with a small firearm. We believe it was a .22 due to the sound. It was difficult to tell if they were firing into the campground or at the road signs. We didn't hear any bullets hit trees but it did present an unsafe environment. They were likely firing at the road signs as they did show old bullet holes.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

A couple were camping in our spot. We came in late and they were there. No camp host at their site. Very frustrating situation and they weren’t going to leave.

The car camping spots feel like you are just off the road. There is not a good view of the river as well but my main complaint is the car camping spots are not private and you feel like you just barely off the road. Also, you can hear the road traffic at night. The walk in tent sites are wonderful, private and beautiful. I would definitely tent camp here, but I would never car camp here again. The falls and pools of water after a very short trail walk are also very beautiful.

I have been camping at Sunset for 30 years. I come back every year in August and it never disappoints. But this year our camp site was left with garbage everywhere and I did not see a host the 4 days we were there. I always leave my site cleaner then I came but I did not expect to have to do so much. And thanks to the internet the falls were very crowded.
