The Rangers, attendants and hosts at this campground are awesome! Facilities and campsites are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Robert W Craig Campground for a relaxing getaway! This campground is truly hidden gem!

The camp host are super strict. Like they are out to get people. The site designs are also strict. The views are beautiful. You get what you pay for.

For the quietness of this campground, it is one of my favorite places to camp. Love the cleanliness of the bath house.

It’s been a very very long time since I’ve been at a campground with such hospitable hosts. The campground is clean, well manicured. Camp store well stocked with the essentials. And the lake itself a quick 7 minute drive, easy to load up the kayak and hop in. I did originally book site 08. But got there and the starlink was going to struggle with the trees. Thankfully my full stay was available at a different site and they easily switched me with no trouble.

From Cumberland, MD: Take US 220 south to US 50W, go west to WV 42N, go north to WV 46E. Follow the signs to the Robert W. Craig Campground.
The campground is accessible via US 220 and US 50. WV 42 and WV 46 are also nearby, providing access to the campground from these major roads.

6.9 mi drive to downtown Elk Garden (about 14 min)

General
- The pavilion will be available on the date of reservation.
- The pavilion must be vacated.
- One person shall be designated as the event leader and as such is responsible for the actions of the attendees and is responsible for insuring the conditions listed in the permit are adhered to during and after the event.
- If you plan on arriving, please call the Entrance Station to confirm your reservation with the Park Attendants and receive the gate combination to enter the campground. If no one answers the phone, please leave a voicemail stating what site you have reserved and we will return your call.
- No campground drive-thrus on holiday weekends.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Two camping units are permitted at each site, with the second one being a tent.
