Charming place deep in a valley with friendly host. Stayed there 4 nights in Sept. Sadly the place closes the season too early for good fall colors. Trails in the wood are steep narrow & slanted along deep ravines and lots of down trees, bring trekking poles for stability.

The camp was beautiful and well maintained. Krissann and Ashley the camp host were the very best you could ask for. They handled situations that came up with professional courtesy towards the campers. Will be returning soon for another camping weekend with friends and family.

This is hands-down the best campground I've been to! The location, atmosphere, and overall setup made for a fantastic stay.
The only downside to keep in mind is that there is no dump station on-site, so you'll need to plan accordingly for waste disposal before headin' out. Other than that missing feature, everything else was top-notch, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot!

The camp host could not have been more helpful and kind. The campground was clean and quiet. The bathrooms were neat and appropriately stocked. We had plenty of space and fantastic weather to enjoy it in.

We love this place. It was probably our sixth year. It is quiet and peaceful. The neighbors are always nice.
A special thank you to the campground hosts who bend over backwards to make our visit the best. We aren't always at the campground and they look after our camper and belongings when we are out and about. They are always there to help us with anything we need. The facilities are always very clean, especially the bathrooms. The "smores" meet and greet with the other campers was really nice.
We've said it before and we'll say it again. The campground desperately needs a shower facility. There is no reason this cannot be provided.

From Parsons, take State Route 72 northeast to State Route 5 to St. George. In St. George, turn south on State Route 1. Follow State Route 1 to the intersection of State Route 7. Turn left on State Route 7 and continue past the YMCA Camp Horseshoe to the Horseshoe Recreation Area entrance.

No electricity.Walk-In Tent Sites (19–21): Picnic tables and fire pits. One reserved parking space per site.
