Great car camping site. Clean and spacisous, not too close to other site but more than enough room for 2 tents and a nice open area to cook and eat. Clean bathrooms but no lights.
Could be better if the water was filtered for refilling water packs.

The host was welcoming. She helped me find some local hikes and let me know about the meteor shower!

I had a wonderful experience at Spruce Knob Lake Campground. The camp host was very attentive, drove around checking on everyone multiple times throughout the day. Firewood was available for purchase. The reserved sites each had nice platforms for tents. The walk-in sites may have you walk up some stairs but for the most part were pretty close to parking and looked private. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this campground to family/friends.

Super close to spruce knob lake and pretty close to the Spruce Knob summit. Bathrooms were super clean for what they are. Only downside was the site got a bit muddy, but it did rain a lot while we were there.

site #11 is rather small not really suitable for a 30" trailer as claimed or you will be in a bad slope and have no space left for the tow vhc. I had a 15ft trailer and was just fitting in there.
The campground was clean and pleasant.

I've been going to Spruce Knob Lake Campground for 30 years and the campground itself is maintained nicely and the camp supervisor did her job well keep in the bathrooms clean and organized in the trash picked up. It is definitely busier now than it ever has been! It went from a hardcore camper hiker location to a tourist attraction which most things do eventually.

Great location! Been returning year after year. Always clean. Last year's temperature broke 80 degrees F. Lake is a short walk from campground. The new campground host, Amber, She is always there to help.
