Lake Sherwood is praised as a beautiful, serene location perfect for families, offering clean facilities, hot showers, and friendly staff. Guests enjoy various activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, and making memories. While some facilities need improvement, particularly in cleanliness and water availability, many campers cherish their experiences and long-standing connections to the area.

The walk around the lake is great with several benches to rest if you are not an experienced hiker. The view is beautiful and left much to nature.

This is the type of campground to just go and relax. Other places to see and visit are not too far away. However, we just enjoy the beauty of nature and the peace and quite. The 3 1/2 mi loop around the lake makes for a great way to take in nature and get some exercise. You can truly get away from it all being as cell phone service is unavailable. The camp sites are not on top of each other. The campground is well maintained. We have camped at Sherwood since about 2001.

This is what camping is supposed to be. Beautiful scenery, great swimming area, nice cool shaded campsites, clean bath houses. We had a great time.
