A beautiful small lake located in secluded area.
Highly recommend for people who prefer close contact with nature and peaceful places.

My family has been camping at Lost Lake for more than fifty years. We love it for it’s rustic nature and beautiful lake sites. There have been more and more large trailers lately with generators and the noise from them is disruptive and detracts from our experience. We wish that generators were not allowed or only allowed on the far end of the campsite which is more conducive to large camping rigs. Also, it’s seems like things are beginning to fall into disrepair like benches not being replaced and a lack of overall maintenance. We understand much of what is done depends on the forest service budget, however, if we can send money to foreign countries, I would hope we could spend money to maintain our national parks which tend to serve the lower to middle class of our society

Great campsite and campgrounds. Running water nearby and clean out toilets. The campgrounds are heavily used, but it didn't seem crowded. Check out the nearby artesian well.

Had a great time!! But we did get swimmers itch for the first time in our 20 plus years, so I’d be sure to wash up good after swimming. The lost lake cabins are a great resource for ice, firewood, and showers if needed.

The campground was nearly full, but it still felt very private and secluded. The lake is beautiful, but the fish weren't very cooperative. One of the better national forest campgrounds we've been to.

Beautiful location, shady campsites under tall old trees. Beach has a small sandy area becoming overgrown with weeds, but the lake's roped off swimming area is large and sandy. Perfect for kids. The depth ranges from shallow and warm for small children to deep for good swimmers. Saw loons, deer and eagles. Quiet lake is great for kayaking and fishing. Hiking trails in the area are numerous but somewhat fallen into disrepair or not well marked. Quieter campground than some, except locals or visitors use the beach and boat launch during the day. Drive to Chipmunk Rapids artisan spring to get fresh water. Campsites vary - some small, some very spacious. The ones close to the lake are nice because you can put in your kayak or canoe direct from your site. They all have big picnic tables and fire pits. The toilets were not cleaned and had no toilet paper over the 4th of July weekend. Visitors had left trash on the beach, trails, and camp areas. Trash was left in numerous fire pits, some of it still smoldering. No sign of any park staff. Wish there was better funding to properly maintain this nice park.

We enjoyed kayaking on Lost Lake during our stay, and did some biking in the area as well. Beautiful campground - would love to visit again at some point!
