Grant River has a great view of a very scenic part of the Mississippi River but that’s about it. RV’s are essentially stacked one on top of the other due to the close proximity of all of the sites.
Many are in full sun although a few choice sites do provide some shade. The campground is quite small compared to other COE areas and there is little to do as there are no hiking trails or swimming spots. The bathhouse water heater wasn’t working most of the time so showers were usually cold or lukewarm. The rolling hills and farms around the area are beautiful and the little town of Potosi is quaint while providing many of the basic essentials for campers. The beer museum is a must see and includes a very good restaurant and bar.

What a beautiful campground on the Mississippi River. We had a nice level site with excellent 50 amps. Only one issue, the trains come right by the campground but I got used to them. Potosi Brewery was excellent with a super museum. Field of Dreams was about an hour away. Worth seeing.

Showers were cold and not much water pressure. Couldn't use boat launch. Overall, great views of river, beaches not far away if traveling by boat, well kept park.

Great location and site. Only downside are the trains rolling by with their horns blowing at the crossings

Always nice and peaceful while camping here. If you don’t mind the trains passing by frequently this is definitely the place to go and relax for the week or weekend. Sandy the campground host is always friendly and helpful. The only down fall is not the campgrounds fault and that’s the cell service from US Cellular. Don’t expect any data usage, texting is a slow process along with making or receiving phone calls

Nice small campground. Yes there are Railway noise but not a dealbreaker for us. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River.
