{"text"=>"We weren't very impressed with this campground. We booked here because it made a list of top-rated campgrounds in WI. I will say it wasn't a bad campground, just not what my family was looking for. This is the perfect campground if you're a retired couple, looking for peace and quiet. If you have a family, this is not a good place to go. When we arrived, our fire pit was filled with garbage :( We booked two months ahead. There's no reason why the site wasn't checked before our arrival, so that was disappointing. We did have plenty of shade and grassy area to hang with the family and play yard games. It was a very quiet campground. There were maybe 4 other occupied sites. Many of the sites are designed for two campers to face each other--we didn't know that until we arrived. We were horrified that our neighbor's seasonal was facing our camper. I'm glad they didn't come the weekend we were there. It would have been extremely awkward. The owners were very flexible with us; when I booked, I needed to switch the weekend to a later date, which they kindly accommodated. Bundles of firewood were available for sale for $5. In the nearby area, Richland Center has a neat purple heart city, a dog park, and a small city water park. About a 20 minute drive will take you to Eagle Cave, owned and operated by a local family. Also nearby is Pier County Park, where you can hike and check out a cool rock bridge. This campground is also located in an ATV/UTV-friendly area.", "languageCode"=>"en"}
