West Fork Sports Club

Wow! I wish we had known about this little gold nugget years ago! My husband is an avid fly fisherman and this place is right on the West Fork of the Kickapoo River. You have to become a member (which is easy and a great value) and then you can camp right on the river for $10 & $20 (electric site). There's also a cabin and a clubhouse you can rent.

Fire Rings & Picnic Tables at each site
Firewood ($5/bundle)

BONUS: My husband just caught the biggest brown trout of his life here.

This is one of the best kept camping secrets. The grounds are well kept, and the location is perfect for all!

I've been coming since I was a little kid. I enjoy the campground and will continue to come. I was a bit disappointed with the showers. The 6 quarter to get the shower going used to go alot farther. I feel like it's barely enough time to clean myself and rinse and I'll have to add more. I noticed one other guy expressed the same thing.

Great campground and an excellent spot for anyone looking to get started with fly fishing. The area is peaceful, scenic, and offers easy access to the water. I would recommend visiting in early spring or fall, as fishing tends to be more productive during those seasons. In the summer, the West Fork of the Kickapoo can warm up, making trout more difficult to locate and catch. Overall, it’s a great destination for anglers looking to enjoy a relaxing day on the water.
