The Cottonwood Group Campsite has a dedicated following, with visitors expressing their love for the site and returning annually. However, some have reported difficulty finding the campground due to limited signage and overgrown paths. Overall, the site is appreciated for its appeal despite navigation challenges.
I could of been better if someone wasn't camping in the group campground that I had reserved on July 10th. Nothing was posted that it was reserved. The people in the group campground said that they paid for 3 nights even though I had it reserved back in January. I had to find somewhere else to camp for 2 nights of my 3 day reservation. There is no cell service up there and I never saw a forest service employee to speak to. So I spent 35 dollars a night for reservations and got to camp in the group campground for 1 night. So do reservations even matter or is it just first come first served?

We showed up to the spot that we had reserved online and there was not a sign up showing that it was reserved, so someone else had taken our reserved-group campsite and they would not leave.
We would like a refund since we were not able to enjoy that campground that we had reserved.

I could not find the campground. There was one sign in Smoot Wyo. I turned and went down a country lane, then came to an area that was very overgrown. There was a bulletin board, and the only road that was visible was a dirt jeep track. There was no sign of anyone in the area.
