What Guests Are Saying
Deep Creek Campground is a peaceful and secluded spot ideal for those seeking solitude, especially after busy holiday periods. While mosquitoes can be an issue due to the wet meadows, being prepared mitigates this. Access requires driving on a gravel road, which can be challenging, but the campground offers good trailheads and a tranquil atmosphere, despite occasional unfriendly encounters with other campers.

Best kept secret if you are looking for quiet and solitude this is the place. I was there just after the fourth of July. There were tons of mosquitoes but they were everywhere not just the campground. The whole area is filled with wet meadows so it was to be expected. Just come prepared. I was the only person at the campground for the first two nights. It's about an hour drive on gravel road to get to the campground but well worth it! Two good trail heads lead off from there as well. There are no bear cabinets so be prepared with hard sided containers and coolers and to keep all food in vehicle or in hard sided trailer.

8/13 - Road to campgrounds was impassable at about 2 miles before the site.
We pulled into a opening just before the bad stuff and some super unfriendly camping-Karen-and-Ken told us they wanted the entire meadow to themselves and said "It's a big forest" and we needed to become more dispersed. We apologized for disturbing them and parked and slept on the road to give them their space and privacy.
Other than running into unfriendlys at the top, this is a nice stop off for WY road trips.

Came here to camp for the 4th of July weekend..and ended up not camping due to the mosquitoes. drove around for 4hrs in this whole park trying to find a spot that didn't have a swarm of mosquitoes. HORRIBLE amounts of mosquitoes even with bug spray!! The campground was almost empty on a holiday weekend. Bummer because the area is really beautiful

A long and winding trek from Snowy Range Road on a narrow mountain road just below the top of the mountain range with sheer drop-offs for drivers not paying attention. Do not attempt this in anything but the best weather. Photos speak for themselves.
