What Guests Are Saying
Guests appreciated the quiet atmosphere and clear starry skies at Snyder Guard Station, with many noting that everything in the cabin worked well and there were no pests. However, some recent visitors reported cleanliness issues, particularly with a dirty fridge and a significant mouse problem, which detracted from their experience. Overall, while there are positive aspects, there are concerns about maintenance and cleanliness that need addressing.

This cabin sits right on a road, so you'll have traffic going right through your camp all day. This could be greatly improved with a gate and force traffic to go around. Additionally cattle can graze right up to the cabin. It's time we take our public lands back from aggressive ranching practices.
That said, it's a nice cabin and a beautiful valley. No water, so it's dusty but the stream nearby is a nice perk.

Excellent stay at Snyder Basin. USFS made sure we had plenty of wood. Hats off to the Big Piney Forest Rangers. Cabin was clean and comfy. Heater worked great. The Refrigerator wouldn't light up. Windows and bug screens needed upkeep. We mended a few of them as we could. Rangers stopped and checked on us which was nice.

We did not receive the correct information for the Snyder Cabin. When we arrived the cabin had not been cleaned by the previous guests and there was no mop or mop bucket or water available for us to properly clean the cabin. It was a somewhat satisfactory stay.

Don’t know why I have to have the signed contract if no one is there to check it. I suppose it’s for just in case there is a problem.
Are the electric lights supposed to work? Didn’t need them just seemed like they would but they didn’t.
