From the cabin you can drive to Meadowlark Lake or drive down Crazy Women canyon or take a hike around the area.

If you want a bunch of ATVs in front you, this is your place. If by chance you think it'd be cool to enjoy nature, skip it. I couldn't even get to the cabin because there were a half dozen trucks with 4 to 8 capacity ATV trailers blocking the road to get to it.

From Buffalo, Wyoming, take Wyoming State Highway 16 west 24 miles. Turn left on Crazy Woman Road (FSR 33), travel 400 feet, turn right on Forest Service Road 473. Visitors will use a gate to access the cabin. Please keep the gate closed.

- Entry is by combination lock; contact the ranger district at (307) 684-7806 during office hours for combination
- No drinking water available
- Please bring garbage bags; this is a 'pack it in, pack it out' facility
- Please clean cabin before leaving; cleaning supplies are provided
- Bears frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating
