Pole Creek Cabin is a clean, well-maintained retreat, appreciated for its beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodations, including cozy bunk beds and a stocked wood supply. Guests enjoy the rustic charm and peaceful environment, making it a great spot for quality time away from cell service. However, noise from nearby camping can be a drawback on weekends, suggesting off-season visits for more solitude.

Great location on a beautiful meadow. Newer outhouse just outside cabin was in great condition. The cabin itself needs a little TLC on the interior. The mattresses are ancient and completely broken down, plan to bring some sleeping pads or air mattresses to use. The walls and ceilings are extremely soot stained due to years of misuse of the wood stove. Some directions for using the wood stove for those unfamiliar with wood stoves would probably help this. It's pretty dark in the cabin so bring some flashlights or lanterns for evenings. We've stayed at other cabins like this and they'll have sinks with a bucket under them so you can wash dishes and then take the bucket outside when you're done, there's no sink here, so we used a bucket next to the end of the counter and propped our water container up so the spigot hung over the edge and that worked well. There are bunk beds to sleep 4 off the ground, you could sleep a few more on the floor. Outside of the cabin there are several locations for tent sites for larger groups. The road in is pretty rough and not recommended for low-clearance vehicles, but I've seen people drive their cars in. It's less than 1.5 mi off Highway 16, which is nice, but you will hear the highway noise, which can be not so nice. They do graze cows in this area so if you tent camp be aware that your tents will be at the mercy of the cows if left unattended. The worst they will do is knock them down rubbing on them and leave some cow pies around the cabin site.

Excellent cabin in a beautiful location. Super clean and well stocked with firewood for the stove. Could only stay one night but I would love to return for a longer trip. 10/10 would visit again.

We have stayed at Pole Creek Cabin a couple of times and have always throughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodations are comfortable and if you aren't careful the stove can get the place pretty toasty. Our last stay we noticed there are new windows with screens which are nice. The old ones I think were original to the cabin and without screens.

Three families used for day. Took kids up in the snow sledding & snowshoeing. Built fire outside in fire ring and inside stove. Beautiful & peaceful with all the snow and trees. Thank you for stocked firewood and nice outhouse. We hope to return soon

Staying at the cabin is always a very relaxing peaceful getaway. I do wish there were better chairs at the cabin for lounging around. Also the was no axe this year had to go back to the truck and get mine which was ok. The gas lantern had been broken and never replace there was a battery lantern but not very bright.

This cabin is in a great location! It has great skiing, snowshoeing and Moose! The directions for getting there were pretty vague and with winter snows we had some trouble finding the cabin in the dark.... So do your own research on that. Also it lacks some basic supplies that one usually finds in a forest service cabin. Cookstove, lanterns, and axe, or at least a hatchet. There was a snow shovel and one large pot for melting snow.
It is a truly beautiful place and the cabin is a warm and comfortable shelter with four single bunks. Perfect for our family of four. We will definitely be back!
