About South Fork (Wyoming)
South Fork Campground is located 15 mi west of Buffalo, Wyoming on the east side of scenic Cloud Peak Skyway, near the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. The surrounding Bighorn National Forest offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, scenic driving and a number of historic sites. Wonderful little campground. Nice stop for two or three days. Make sure you have water. The pump water was on a boil notice.

Our campsite was well laid out, which made loading/unloading and setting up camp super convenient. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a cleaner vault toilet. The space was beautiful and being right over the creek was a highlight for us. The only downsides were that the spots were pretty close together and the traffic noise from the highway was pretty loud, but we got over it because everything else was so great. The camp host was also friendly as can be.

Beautiful campground! Very clean. The vault toilets were clean and hand sanitizer available. The sound of the stream running through the campground was just wonderful.

NPS Recreation.Gov needs to put GPS addresses on their campsite confirmations. We couldn't find the campsite and had to stay elsewhere.

Great campground, nice host, but we could have been warned that a whole army of wood cutters would be sawing early in the morning right next to our campsite! It ruined our day.

Campsites were very well taken care of. Ample supply of wood at the camp host residence. Garbages emptied all the time and the outhouses were clean
