Peggy is a great hostess.
She is very knowledgeable about restaurants in Buffalo & road repairs going to Worland.
Deer wander through the trees frequently.
The Tie Hack Reservoir is nearby: bring your fishing poles and kayaks.
South Fork Restaurant is open & the pies are great.
Look for the decorated Christmas tree as you exit the RV camp area / bring an ornament!

The host, Peggy, was very friendly. She came shortly after we pulled in, introduced herself and asked if we needed anything. The Johns were cleaned several times daily and she used airfreshenor so they smelled a whole lot better. During the course of our stay, we became very friendly and look forward to seeing her at Tie Hack next year. She is a wonderful host.

Tie Hack campground is easily accessible from Hwy 16. I drive a 19' Class B RV and I get nervous on steep roads and curves. There were a few areas that made me feel uneasy driving up to the campground, but I made it and was so glad that I did! The campsite is in a pine forest; it is not right by the reservoir but the reservoir is just a short hike or drive away. It was early August when I was there. The altitude made the weather just right for night-time sleeping. If you go to this campsite, DO NOT miss seeing the reservoir. A lot of people go 4 wheeling through the National Forest (I was there on a Thursday and there wasn't any loud motor noise that bothered me); people fish in the reservoir and/or drive the scenic by-ways. The mountain tops were snow-covered! It was gorgeous!
