What Guests Are Saying

Tie Hack Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite spot for many visitors. The campground features spacious sites, a great location near the Tie Hack Reservoir, and well-maintained vault toilets. However, some guests experienced early morning noise from tree thinning activities and reported occasional issues with road traffic and wildlife management. Overall, the positives of cleanliness, helpful staff, and scenic beauty outweigh the negatives.

Tie Hack is a beautiful campground with an amazing Camp Host. Peggy is amazing, and is always looking out for what's best for the campground, guests, and the entire Bighorn Mountain area. I would definitely camp here again (and I am already on my third time this summer) so don't be afraid to rough it a little in the Bighorns.

Our host Peggy was a nice gal.
Will there ever be electric at the sites? It would make camping so much more enjoyable especially in the morning to make coffee.
I do wish they could do something or at least limit the amount of time someone can use a generator, hard to enjoy the outdoors especially when they sit inside with the air on and the generator runs non stop until it’s out of gas and then the only time they come out is to refill the gas and it starts all over non stop.

Campground and campsite were very clean and well organized. Facilities provided were very well maintained and clean. The vault toilets were the most sanitary I've ever experienced at a Forest Service facility.
Peggy, the campground manager, gets a 10+. She checked with us every day to make sure our stay was going well and shared lots of local information that we needed to make our visit as carefree as possible. When we had an issue with after-hours noise with our neighbor, she handled it straight away and with grace. She is by far the most energetic and caring host that I've ever had at a campground. We will definitely be visiting Tie Hack again.
