What Guests Are Saying
Tie Hack Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite spot for many visitors. The campground features spacious sites, a great location near the Tie Hack Reservoir, and well-maintained vault toilets. However, some guests experienced early morning noise from tree thinning activities and reported occasional issues with road traffic and wildlife management. Overall, the positives of cleanliness, helpful staff, and scenic beauty outweigh the negatives.

During our 3 day stay a crew with multiple chain saws were thinning trees all around and ithe campground beginning at 6 am. The constant noise ruined the enjoyment and solitude of camping in the mountains for us and others we talked to. On the plus side the camp hosts were very nice!

Wish they wouldn't have to cut trees down right by my campsite

A very pretty area and a good basic campground. The toilets were clean and in good repair. Our site (02) was closer to the campground loop than most so we did get a bit of road dust.
The major complaint was the thinning project happening on the fringes of the campground. We did not expect the 6 a.m. chainsaw alarm! Seems awfully early but, just a sign with the timing would have been much appreciated. We might still wake bleary eyed but with at least a little less grumbling.

During our stay they were cutting trees just outside the campground starting at 6am. We never met the Camp Host and the fire pit was never emptied. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
