Platte River RV Park

I wanted an RV park to stay at just for 2 nights, with a dog run and possibly some water nearby, while I attended a dog show in Casper. The park was exceptionally tidy to the point we didn’t realize we had sewer at our site because it was located under a bush and the dump site was well decorated with decorative rocks covering the sewer area and unmarked. The parks dog run was secure and large but instead of poop bags in the holder there was a bees nest and I got stung. There was a trash and pooper scoopers but it did seem like I was the only one who used the poop scoopers, I picked up an immense amount of poop. The majority of the patrons live there full time, which is fine but it also seemed like they thought they owned the place and could let their dogs run around off lead (against their policies) thankfully I had my dogs inside or directly supervised in their outdoor kennel space at my site. The site was completely graveled therefore I was unable to stake my dogs exercise pen to the ground. There is astroturf and nice picnic tables at the site but the manager was 100% off and office closes for the weekend so I was unable to get a tile they require in order for me to use a table top grill on it, thankfully we has a small table so I didn’t have to violate their policy. Overall it was fine, it was VERY quiet which was a plus.

It's self-service laundromat for RV campers. No pesky human interaction involved.

My second stay here. Quiet and clean. Laundry room has fully functional dryers. The primitive area has some nice shady pull through spots. If you happen to be in Glenrock and need to spend the night, this is the better option.

Most of the people here live here year round.
Sites are level with a paved area with picnic table.

They are currently adding an additional 32 spaces.

Our first time here, Host/manager met us on arrival, directed us to our site. Sites are very clean, spacious, have your own turf and picnic table. We walked to river and was impressed at how many dry sites they also have. Grounds are very clean and well maintained. We would definitely camp here again!
