Too many generators, the campground was humming and vibrating. The computers were down and we couldn't reserve a first come site without calling Rec.gov and incurred additional fees.

One of favorite campgrounds! Hosts are very helpful. Campground is large, but sites are generous in size. Moose are known to walk through the campground on a regular basis, heading to the river that runs through the back of the campground.

The campground is an interesting experience contrasting wilderness with modern life. During our lengthy stay our loop was visited several times by moose as jet aircraft departed, arrived and traversed the skies above. There were cows and bulls. All were young adults and very photogenic. Great photos and videos were obtained by respectful onlookers. Kudos to the wildlife management staff who adroitly handled the groups of folks gathered to watch the moose in their environment. The campsite, D185, was challenging. Backing in was tricky and parking the tow vehicle required some originality. The road through the campground loop is very narrow and curvy. Complicating travel many campers leave their vehicles either slightly in the roadway or very close to it. Having the electrical hookup was a definite positive. Overall, the stay was amazingly excellent. A return trip is already in the planning stages.
