Beautiful campground near south entrance. Clean bathrooms, no showers but there are showers e.g. in Colter Bay. Dumping station available but only for grey water.

Gros Ventre Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location with friendly staff, clean restrooms, and easy access to the nearby river and wildlife, making it ideal for campers. Many visitors appreciate the campground's peaceful atmosphere, spacious sites, and convenient check-in process. While some sites may have rocky terrain and the lack of showers is noted, the overall experience is positive, with many recommending it as a great base for exploring the Grand Tetons.

Great little place to pitch a tent and rest in the evenings. Was away from the campground most of the time, hiking and driving, but it was nice to have a place to rest inside the park. Restroom is pretty primitive, but there were paper towels and soap, and toilets flushed, so that was nice. Pretty typical campground, lots of people and families around. Lots of different types of spaces available for various vehicles and tents. Mine was very small, but I’m only a single person without an rv, just a mini tent, a cot and a small reclining camp chair. It was a nice place to camp overall. The Gros Ventre river is close by and a great place to stop in the morning and the evening for wildlife views.

We spent one night here - our river facing site was quiet and the dark skies made for quite a show of the Milky Way!

Loved this spot. Great location. DO recommend. DO wish it had shower areas, but the staff was great and ready with a list of places to shower close by. Will plan to stay again

This campsite had zero cell coverage for me (AT&T). It made me nervous that I couldn’t contact anyone if needed. The lots are big, spacious, electric. Bathrooms are clean. There’s a running creek or river nearby which you can hear. Very relaxing in my opinion. It does feel “out there” and away from civilization. It also was pricey in comparison to other campsites in the area.
