At one time Kelley was my favorite FS Cabin. Over the past few years the condition continues to deteriorate without much attention to to upkeep and repair. Last summer season the propane fridge wasn't working and the water was turned-off, meaning that the shower and flush toilet could not be used. Having an indoor bathroom in the woods was one of the real highlights of the site.

The stay at Kelley guard station was very nice location. However there is a serious mouse problem. Set three traps for first night we were there and got 4 mice . Yes I said 4 mice. They were so thick that one of the traps got two of them in it. These were not sticky traps either. Also the front door needs to be repaired does not want to stay latched or locked. If the price is going to be raise to $60 per night versus $30 per night there should be some improvements. The refrigerator does not work as well. I like Staying at the cabin it is a very nice location but it could use some improvements.

The cabin is in great shape. Running water (must boil before consuming), shower, and flush toilet. Gas lights, refrigerator, and stove work great. Our favorite cabin so far. Pit toilet is also available and was clean and in good condition.

The gate down the road from the cabin really helps keep curious traffic from annoying visits. The cabin itself is nice with working windows and fitted screens.

This cabin rules. I wish I had booked multiple nights here. It is in such a peaceful, quiet location that makes you feel far away from civilization. The cain had everything it states. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area. Thank you so much USFS for access to such amazing places.

I have stayed there several times throughout the past 10 years with friends or renting it myself and family comes with. Usually always stay there in October. The main door could probably use some help. We carve some shims out of wood probably five years ago so the door would latch. On our recent stay we noticed the shims are still there. Seems to be doing the job OK but might be time for a new door jamb and or door. Maybe you could use some work on the front steps as well. We always enjoy staying there and we always have a good time. We have no cell phone coverage. That does not bother us. However if we go to the top of the hill were the road forks coming from Cokeville we have service. Very short Drive. Thanks. PS. Probably no way of getting around for mice but we always catch mice when we are there and clean up mouse poop upon arrival

It was fantastic having running water! Our family built the wooden steps outside the cabin and it was disappointing that the steps didn’t get painted and the hand railing was broken. Also, the toilet didn’t flush correctly and easily clogged. I did miss the curtains in the bedroom area. The updated floor was fabulous and very beautiful! Everything in the cabin worked correctly. We used both the gas stove and the wood stove. It was nice having the weeds around the cabin mowed :-) Thanks for taking care of the cabin! It’s one of our favorite places to go!
