Vedauwoo Tent Campground offers a scenic and enjoyable camping experience, particularly for climbing enthusiasts. While some sites may have limited space and shade, the campground features nice tables, fire pits, and access to excellent hiking and rock scrambling opportunities. Despite minor drawbacks like distant noise and basic restroom facilities, the stunning views and vibrant ecosystem make it a worthwhile destination.

Great campground near climbing! Not much space for tents at our site, but we made do. The only major downside was some people nearby who were loud late into the night.

Love Vedauwoo! What a great tent campground! Super scenic. Standard tent sites with nice tables and fite pits, though we didn't have a fire due to it being summer & high danger conditions. Our site didn't have much shade, while other do, so bring sun shades/ umbrellas just in case. The bathroom is a simple pit style, a bit gross, to be expected, but manageable & glad to have one. This area is quite close to the highway, so there will be faint truck noise in the distance, especially at night. That was no surprise or problem for us car campers. Also, despite the light pollution of Cheyenne to the East, the stars & Milky Way were still amazing. Great hiking trails & plenty of fun rock scrambling & exploring to be had. Fantastic rock formations! We hiked to Beaver Pond one morning to find a moose having a drink on the other side! In the evening, Momma Beaver was swimming and working. Such an amazing ecosystem full of life, history, and mystery! If I can, I will be back. Thanks to you all for keeping it going!
