What Guests Are Saying

Vedauwoo Campground offers a well-laid-out, clean, and peaceful environment, perfect for hiking and rock climbing enthusiasts. The beautiful granite formations and serene surroundings make it feel like a hidden gem, and the campground is conveniently located near I-80. However, visitors should be aware that it lacks amenities, including reliable water sources, and noise disturbances from other campers can occur.

Campground well-laid-out for comfort and privacy. So convenient to rock. We were there in late September - no crowds.

This is a nice park the has no facilities or amenities, you should know that. Don't come here for a resort, you will get your feelings hurt. Laramie is about 15 min away and Cheyenne is just a bit further. The campground is clean and well maintained. Just off I80 and all the roads and sites are paved. Pulling a 34 ft fifth wheel we had no problems navigating the facility, just be careful. There are a few sites that will accommodate bigger travel trailers, look at the driveway length in the description.

We enjoyed hiking and wandering through the rocks. Beautiful views. Small campground with many sites on the edge of the road.

Bring your own water. The water from the pump is identified as 'potable' but it has a brown tinge to it.

Very nice small campground, clean facilities, convenient to the Interstate, beautiful land formation surroundings, perfect for a quick night stopover or a couple of days hiking/climbing in the area.

Vedauwoo Campground is hands down one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. It feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the most breathtaking setting—towering granite formations, wide-open skies, and peaceful surroundings that make you feel like you’ve stumbled on something truly special.

The campground itself is very clean and well-kept, with plenty of space and a sense of quiet serenity that’s hard to find these days. Our dog had the time of his life exploring the trails and rocks, and it was such a relief to have a spot that felt both pet-friendly and safe.

We loved every minute here. Between the incredible scenery, the fresh mountain air, and the overall peaceful vibe, Vedauwoo is more than just a place to camp—it’s a destination in its own right. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot, don’t pass it up. We can’t wait to come back!

Well maintained beautiful campground. Wish we had a site that got our vehicle off the road, but will take that knowledge for the next time we choose a site.

This is a great place to get away from the crowds with great hiking and for those who are rock climbers there look to be some great places to use your skills. At 77 I am best suited to staying on the trails.
