What Guests Are Saying
Bald Mountain Campground offers a beautiful setting with fantastic views and abundant wildlife, making it a great choice for recreational activities. The campground hosts are friendly and maintain clean facilities, although some restrooms were reported as not stocked. While some sites are closely packed and water availability was an issue, many visitors enjoyed their peaceful stay and appreciated the scenic surroundings.

Awesome campground - we loved the camp host and thought the setting was perfect. We liked how quiet it was compared to other campgrounds in the bighorns. We will come again!!!

The stars were amazing. Great campground right off the road. Close to Medicine Wheel.

This is a small cg with tall trees and a true sense of the mountain. Best for adults & those who want a quiet space.

Good location, close to the Medicine Wheel. Too many large RVs that tended to dominate the landscape. One RV showed up at 6am and spent the next 40 minutes trying to get situated in its spot with the backup beeps incessently going off. We thought it was a fire alert. How inconsiderate and annoying.
No firewood available. There was a few pieces of extremely green wood at our site that was useless. The water pump near our site was out of order. The restroom was clean.
Our previous experience a few years back was much better.

Due to nearby Crater Ridge forest fire the access to the mountain roads, trails, and streams was forbidden by USFS. The air quality was very poor so decided at last minute not to use the campsite. Rating reflects USFS closure and smoke not campground or hosts. Have stayed at Bald Mountain 3 previous summers and enjoyed the area.
