What Guests Are Saying
Timber Ridge RV Park is a clean and well-maintained campground nestled in a quiet, pine-filled setting, conveniently located near I-90 and attractions like Devils Tower and the Black Hills. While the park lacks wifi and has minimal cell service, visitors appreciated the friendly atmosphere and clean facilities. However, there were concerns about the unclear pet policy and issues with the water quality.

Best Campground so far since ww left Florida on June 1rst, 2024. We have been stopping all our way to the west state making our last stop Montana. We loved this campground, we have been more wildlife inside this gem even just coming from Yellowstone Fishing Bridge.
The park is so well located and the mist peaceful and quiet to stay and relax on your evening after being on the surrounding areas.
Darsy was so helpful… We arrived and I was a bit confused on the site I had chosen, so although we arrived late.. it was a self check in.. I made a call.. explained I thought Site I chose was a back in… and she gladly helped me accommodate and pick the sites that were available. Their is a main house on front of campground and the and on the the end road were we decided to be #8 we felt really safe , the cars from this far back road. Very quiet and polite(maybe owners) and lights in the night for safety…
Hooks ups are well installed.. very well maintained.. we dis not use the showers since is me and my husband.. and we have our own washing machine, so cant talk of this.. deers, turkeys, Rabbits are surrounding this rv peaceful campground. Some truck noise in the morning traffic, but compared to all the private campgrounds we have been since our trip.. this is really the mist peaceful. Al sites have their oqn fire pit and nice new picnic tables..
Only thing I regret was not staying more then 5 days… Really need 2 weeks to enjoy all the diversity parks, Black Hill, Mt Rushmore, Needle Hwy and Big Horn, crazy Horse Devils Tower, we seen mouse, Buffaloes, wild Horse, Antílopes… I can not get over how many things Moorcroft is surrounded by and you have such a peaceful place to call home when you are dine of your daily route..
If we decide to make another trip to finish to see all we missed for sure we will make this a month to stay knowing how well maintained and quiet is this campground.
Thank you again for allowing and sharing such a unique gem ..

The campground is just off I-90 nestled in the pine trees. All the sites looked good, the bathrooms were clean, and there was a pay to use washer and dryer. The first night we were the only campers. The next couple nights ranged from one to three other campers. There is no check in and upon arrival you go to the site number mentioned in your email (you must book online). There is an apartment at the campground and a main house behind the campground, so there is activity but we had no contact with the owners or staff though everyone seemed very friendly. It was a pleasant campground and super quiet. The only negative was the water. It was very hard and had a sulfur smell. Still a nice place that’s convenient to Devils Tower, the Black Hills near Sundance, WY, and Gillette, WY.

Great campground, easy on & off I-90, quiet and clean. Very friendly staff. Would stop again when in the area.

Should remove the statement pet friendly from their website. They pick and choose what breeds they allow rather than if they are actually agressive or not. Then hide behind the insurance lie. There are thousands of parks that allow all breeds and they have insurance!!

Nice park, clean and well maintained. A little hard to see where to turn as the sign for the park faces the road at the entrance as opposed to facing traffic. Definitely depend on gps for the turn. No wifi and cell signal was minimal(Verizon). Park was not staffed when we stayed. Loved the setting in the pines and deer in the area.
