Park is conveniently located just south of the entrance to Yellowstone making it a easy drive to the park. The facility is older and could use some upgrading. We found the sites to be small and parking of your tow vehicle was difficult. Bath house could also use some upgrading as well. Showers were small, and the water temp difficult to keep consistent. They promote being bear aware which is a good thing however the garbage containers were typically full whenever we went to use them. Laundry machines are available but expensive compared to other places we have been.

Wonderful base camp for Yellowstone. South Entrance is just 2 miles away. Situated on the Snake River in Lodge Pole Pines. We had site 304 and it was fine, but wished we would have gotten one on the back side, (500s and 600s) with more trees and opening onto the meadows down to the river. Sites are closer together than it looks like on recreation.gov. Definitely prepare for mosquitos, but this can change each season and time of year of course. Wonderful walk/bike down closed road to Pole Cat Creek and Huckleberry Springs. Just beautiful! Only complaint and this is because we were on a two week road trip and needed the laundry amenity. Highway robbery at 5.25 a wash load and 3.25 a dry! Quarter machine was broken and front desk at the lodge didn't have quarters either. Did a nice horse back ride as well. The little and bigger cabins look great, many with wonderful views. Lodge has a restaurant and bar, we didn't use but look cute. Gas station with wood, ice, and everything else you might need. Would stay again.

We stayed almost a week. It was fantastic. This was our second trip to the Tetons and stayed at Flagg Ranch CG. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

I stayed down the road a few miles and hardly a mosquito. Headwaters must have imported them. It was horrific and everyone at the campground was covered head to toe at every minute. Hundreds of campsites, hundreds of people being attacked because there is absolutely no concern to spray the area to make the paying customers happy. It's dusty as well, but I'd take 20x the dust if they would get rid of the mosquitos. The 2 stars is for the closeness to the South entrance of Yellowstone.

Nice park close to yellowstone and the tetons. The cabins look great and the campground sites are nice. A bit dusty from the road but it's camping.
