Signal Mountain Campground

We loved our spot at Signal Mountain.

The campground was clean, active, and had great views.

A gorgeous well maintained campground. The trail to the bathroom was one of my favorite parts of the day - a windy trail through the woods. Beautiful views from the beach area; water was swimming temperature. Boats can be a little annoying but we ended up renting one as well. A good selection of food with a bar, two restaurants and a coffee shop. The individual bathrooms were the nicest we have seen. $5 gets you 7mins of shower so we learned to be expedient. Hot water in the utility sink for dishes. Not too many sites and most are pretty private, great stargazing at night. We stayed in two spots: 20 and 30; we loved our #20 spot. #30 was too close to the neighboring site with not a lot of visible separation. Overall one of my two favorite camp grounds during our trip (Teton Canyons was amazing as well).

Beautiful campground. I like how rugged it felt yet the sites were pretty level for the RV. Water access was neat. Will hope to be back one day. It is tough to book and pricey though. Lady at check-in was not very helpful or knowledgeable, but otherwise a nice stay.

Incredible campground. Very private, and quiet. Right next to the water. there was an elk and a deer roaming the grounds which was cool. Clean bathrooms. Has running water to use, and a fire ring to use.

Very nice lakefront setting (though only a view sites have Lakeviews). Natural, wooded setting. Nice lounge/bar and restaurant in the main building at entrance. Sites not huge, but nice.

The campground was clean and quiet. Bathrooms were clean. Our site was not level and almost all the sites had an incline. We had an electric hookup site and that was in good condition. Showers were available nearby @$5 for 7 min. but we didn’t need them. The dump station has a potable water spigot to fill RV tanks. Location was excellent for getting to places in GTNP.

I didn’t realize prior to booking my site that the campground was so small. There are a lot of sites though, which means that my particular spot was surrounded by other campers. There is a trail right behind the tent and many campers walked within 10 ft of us all evening long. People woke up early made tons of noise. I think there are far too many tent sites in this small campground. Do as you will, that’s my opinion.

Clean, well maintained campground.

An excellent spot to camp. Very dense with trees and easy access to the shore for an evening walk. Good facilities close by as well.
