We loved the campground and access to the lake for swimming. The only negative was reserving a site. We attempted to get a first come first serve site, but they all had tags saying they were reserved. We were about to leave and happened upon the only site that was available. We were thankful because it was a wonderful experience.

Nice campground with no hookups. Beautiful view of the lake with an easy path to access the lake. The campground host was friendly and helpful. She was able to move me to a more suitable site for a 30’ rv than the one I had chosen online. I really appreciated that. The campground was well maintained and clean. Even though it was very busy, the campsites were spaced further apart so I didn’t feel crowded. I would definitely recommend the campground, but would hope they would fix the road into the campground.

Camping here high above the lake was magical. Quit, lots of birds, calm waters, temperature perfect. Early morning breakout here was very calming while drinking our coffee and just watching the day come alive. Very easy parking our 24 ft trailer.
The town of Pinedale is a very nice and small cowboy town. Loved the Museum of the Mountain Man. Be sure to go to the Sublette County Visitors Center.

We stayed at Fremont Lake campground twice within three weeks. The first stay was while campground hosts were there. The campground was nice, clean and comfortable. The toilets were clean and well stocked. We later stayed after the hosts left and the toilets were not as well maintained. During our second stay, there was no water available which we were not prepared for.
The area is lovely and there is lots of good trails and forest roads to explore. The lake is beautiful.
The access road into the campground is a mine field! We counted over 20 potholes on the road. Some were very deep and large enough to cause damage to your vehicle if you hit them with any speed at all. Be aware, especially driving in after dark.

Pleasant campground right by the lake. I was in 025 that is decent but pretty close to a neighbouring site so it was difficult to pitch a tent away from another party. Otherwise a good stay.

Campground sites are very spread out which provides very good privacy and quiet. Constructed tent pads are not present. USFS should build these for tent campers.
