Very peaceful. Lots of space between sites and plenty of privacy.
No trash cans. Beware of variable road conditions coming up and in the campground itself.

About Green River Lakes - Bridger-teton Nf (WY)
Green River Lakes Campground is located near the shores of beautiful Lower Green River Lake, at an elevation of 8 ft. The lake sits on the western edge of the rugged Wind River Range in Wyoming. Visitors enjoy hiking and backpacking into the adjacent Bridger Wilderness, as well as fishing and canoeing on the lake.

A lovely spot, quiet and very spacious. We had a nice spot deep in the woods and got up early to hike out. Gorgeous spot.

We really enjoyed having our group stay here. It was clean when we got there, close to the restrooms and had plenty of space for all our party’s tents.
I wish we would have had running water but we had packed plenty and made it through the week. Hopefully that amenity gets resolved for future use.

Group camp B is too steep to level campers. Horse corrals are very far away. There is no water in the campground, and to take the horses to the river for water is about 0.3 mi each way.

We got to within 20 mi of the campground and found out it was (and had been for some time) closed due to an ongoing wildfire. A little heads up would have been nice. A refund would be appropriate.

Getting There
From Pinedale, drive 7 mi west on U.S. Highway 191. Turn north onto Wyoming Highway 352 and continue 25 mi to the forest boundary, where the pavement ends. Continue on the dirt road for 18 mi to the campground. While the dirt road to the campgrou...
From Pinedale, drive 7 mi west on U.S. Highway 191. Turn north onto Wyoming Highway 352 and continue 25 mi to the forest boundary, where the pavement ends. Continue on the dirt road for 18 mi to the campground. While the dirt road to the campground is suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles, weather can make this road impassable to all but 4 wheel drive vehicles, call the district office to inquire on road conditions.

The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 191, which is approximately 7 miles east from Pinedale, and Wyoming Highway 352, which leads north from U.S. Highway 191.

- No extra vehicles are allowed
- Off-road vehicles must be licensed in order to operate in the campground
